On October 14 and 15, 2024, Francis Ford Coppola will star in two special events in Rome to mark the pre-opening of the Rome Film Festival and Alice in the City. On Monday, October 14, Cinecittà Studios will host the Italian premiere of his new film Megalopolis, with a screening introduced by the director himself. The event will be streamed live in the Auditorium Parco della Musica's Sala Petrassi.

On October 15, Coppola will meet with Alice in the City juries, film school students and the public at the Auditorium Parco della Musica for a dialogue about his career. On the same day, the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, will pay tribute to him at the Campidoglio. Megalopolis will be released in Italian cinemas on October 16, distributed by Eagle Pictures.
