Ahead of the highly anticipated Italian theatrical release of “Gladiator II,” distributed by Eagle Pictures, the heart of Rome was the stage for an extraordinary event.
On Sunday, Nov. 10, in the historic Trajan's Market, a video mapping was created with some of the most spectacular and exciting images from the epic film directed by Ridley Scott.
The monumental ruins of Trajan's Market, a symbol of imperial Rome, became for one evening the perfect stage to welcome the audience in an evocative atmosphere where history and cinema meet.
Thanks to a state-of-the-art technological set-up, video mapping was created with exclusive sequences from the film coming to life against a backdrop that directly recalls the film's settings, amplifying the visual and emotional impact of the scenes.
Gladiator II marks the return of one of the most beloved film sagas to the big screen, with an epic narrative and breathtaking cinematography that promise to captivate and engage the viewer, taking him or her back to the universe of gladiatorial games and imperial intrigue.
On the occasion of the Special screening of the film on November 14 in Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, the audience was able to experience a Red Carpet enriched by video projections on the domes.
The screening was held in collaboration with the Fondazione Musica per Roma and Alice in the City, which have made available through their channels some free admissions for the public and young people from film and music schools.
The two events are part of the Roma Si accende Con Il Gladiatore II, project promoted by Roma Capitale, Fondazione Musica per Roma and Alice nella città to promote the image of the capital and its artistic and cultural heritage through cinema and audiovisuals in Italy and abroad.
